Dhoni sued this IPS officer for 100 crores, there was a stir

              Ranchi. MS Dhoni 2014 was the worst year for IPL. This was the year when the cricketers were accused of match-fixing. Its heat had even reached Dhoni. Later the allegation proved to be false, then Dhoni sued this IPS officer for 100 crores.
           This case is from 2014. At that time, IPS officer Sampath Kumar had accused Dhoni of fixing in the IPL match. This claim of the officer was prominently published in the newspaper and TV.
             Now after seven years, the matter is going to be heard. In such a situation, IPS officer Sampath Kumar has appealed in the Madras High Court that the matter should not be heard. But the court has refused to quash Dhoni’s case.

               Zee Media, in its response to the suit, said that it had only reported Sampath Kumar’s statement to the Mudgal committee appointed to probe the scam. Dhoni was trying to stop the media from discussing an issue of national and public importance.
